Flagship Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice explains how Mutiny FX, LLC, doing business as Mutiny FX ("Mutiny FX," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects information connected with the Flagship website, trials, purchases, licensing, and support.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
We may collect:
Your email address.
Your company or organization name, if provided.
Information contained in support requests and correspondence.
Information you provide when requesting a trial.
Purchase and licensing information supplied through Paddle.
Payment and billing information is collected directly by Paddle. Mutiny FX does not receive or store your complete payment-card details.
Licensing and device information
When you activate or validate Flagship, we may process:
A machine fingerprint generated from the Manager computer.
The computer's name.
License type and activation status.
Trial activation and expiration dates.
License activation and deactivation records.
Security and rate-limiting information.
Network information such as an IP address or a protected hash derived from it.
Technical error and service logs.
Where practical, Flagship stores protected hashes rather than raw email addresses, machine fingerprints, license credentials, or IP addresses in its licensing database.
Website information
Our website and service providers may collect:
Browser and device type.
Pages visited and referring pages.
Approximate location derived from an IP address.
Cookies and similar technologies.
Security, performance, and diagnostic information.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
Deliver trial codes and purchased license keys.
Activate, validate, deactivate, and migrate licenses.
Enforce computer and trial limits.
Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized license sharing.
Provide customer support.
Process and administer purchases and refunds.
Maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve Flagship.
Comply with legal, accounting, tax, and regulatory obligations.
Communicate important changes concerning Flagship or your license.
We do not use Flagship licensing requests to collect or upload your After Effects projects, Blender projects, source media, rendered output, or other production assets.
3. Legal bases
Depending on your location, we process information:
To perform a contract with you.
To provide a requested trial or service.
For our legitimate interests in licensing, security, fraud prevention, support, and product improvement.
With your consent where consent is required.
To comply with legal obligations.
4. Service providers and disclosures
We may share information with service providers that help operate Flagship, including:
Paddle, which acts as merchant of record and processes purchases, taxes, receipts, payment support, and refunds.
Cloudflare, which hosts licensing services, security controls, logs, and licensing databases.
Squarespace, which hosts portions of the Mutiny FX website.
Google, which may be used to deliver trial or license emails.
Professional advisers, auditors, insurers, and legal authorities where reasonably necessary.
Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy practices.
Paddle separately processes buyer information under the Paddle Privacy Notice.
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect legal rights, to investigate fraud or security threats, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of business assets.
5. Sale and advertising
We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration.
We do not use Flagship licensing data for third-party behavioral advertising. Our website providers may use necessary, analytics, or security technologies according to their settings and privacy practices.
6. Data retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for licensing, support, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and business records.
Because Flagship Manager licenses may be perpetual, protected license and activation records may be retained for the operational life of the license.
Trial, rate-limiting, and security records may be retained as needed to prevent repeated trial abuse. Purchase and transaction records may be retained for accounting, dispute, refund, fraud-prevention, and legal purposes.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. These measures include restricted access, encrypted network connections, secret management, and hashing of selected identifiers.
No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
8. International processing
Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we and our providers use appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
Request access to personal information.
Request correction or deletion.
Object to or restrict certain processing.
Request a portable copy of information.
Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
Appeal or complain to a relevant privacy authority.
Some information may need to be retained to maintain a license, prevent fraud, complete transactions, or comply with law.

10. Children
Flagship is intended for professional users and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
11. Third-party software
Flagship integrates with third-party products such as Adobe After Effects and Blender. Those products are governed by their respective providers' privacy notices and terms. Mutiny FX does not control their practices.
12. Changes
We may update this Privacy Notice as our software, providers, or legal obligations change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
